About Emily Leming

I am a dedicated lifelong learner with focus in science, art, nature and community which I think are the heart of a sustainable and thriving humanity - one based in regeneration and resilience. I am excitedly engaging in the mycological community of North Texas where we gather in community for cooking and sharing the science and future of mushrooms as a source of resilience, innovation and healing. As a designer, I am currently on a mission to provide Patient Specific Implants (PSI's) to surgeons and patients for personalized patient care. PSI's (or custom implants) are strategically designed implants, based on CT data and the anatomy of the patient for a perfect fit. These implants allow for superior reconstruction of many skeletal and cranial defects.Some other passions of mine include regenerative farming, sustainable fashion, citizen science, biomaterials, material innovation, biodesign, mindfulness, and mental health advocacy.
