- Working with Tanya, we grew the budding Women in Tech group into a thriving community. By hosting vulnerable and relevant events with female leaders in tech who shared their mahi, we built a community of over 2000 wāhine, and inspired many women into roles in tech. Today WomeNB in Tech is a nation-wide network of over 5,000 wāhine and still runs frequent popular events in Tāmaki Makaurau.

While at The Social Club, I worked with the team to continuously improve our processes to deliver value faster. This included implementing user interviews & feedback channels, agile sprints & retros, structured work in feature-based focused increments, and built out a product prioritisation process. We went from shipping once every 3 months to every 3 weeks, and had very positive customer feedback about features shipped. Our influencer engagement rates increased 7x and brands 3-4x. But most importantly... iPredict is a company which spun out of research from Victoria University in 2008. It operates from within VicLink and is a tool for predicting future events and researching consumer opinions.In this role I am responsible for coordinating the team of 4, creating and managing contracts, managing marketing and overall strategy, and general daily operations. We also launched PredictIt in the USA - in collaboration with Aristotle International Inc.

This project was born from an innovative idea I pitched at Startup Weekend Dunedin, March 22-24. The concept combines two of my passions, Microbiology and Jewellery, to form living pendants. Over time, a single cell transforms the seemingly empty locket into a vibrant bloom of colours. Currently in R&D, we are researching material choice and pendant design.

Coordinating the creation of the New Zealand version of DECC's 2050 Pathways Calculator, and interactive simulation, to project the energy situation in NZ come 2050, based on policy and personal decisions we make in the next years. The team of 10 students were successfully recruited through a university-wide and online marketing campaign, and the programme is now successfully underway.

Market analysis, due diligence, early stage business viability

After realising the social scene for science students was lacking, I established a society and full committee (SciCO) to bring fun to students at the University of Otago. Since its inception in February, we have successfully secured the next year's key three members, run events such as a barbecue, class rep meeting, science ball, and quiz nights, and have grown to be one of the University's largest clubs with over 600 members.
