Newcomb Scholars is a small cohort program focused on feminist leadership. Selected as one of twenty three students to participate in the Newcomb Scholars four year academic plan. Research within the program has included: The history of the “Take Back the Night” rallies, The SAT’s ties to race and affluence, and Tulane University’s Response to the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

Working as a research assistant 5 hours a week for Dr. Allison Grossman, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Tulane University. Assisting in writing a literature review to analyze why households relocate when faced with recurrent floods.

Student head for the Feminist Frameworks Honors Society, open to first-year students at Tulane in the honors program. Host monthly meetings where students had a space to engage in discussions on feminist issues. Spearheaded off-campus events where members engaged in programing to learn about the city of New Orleans through a feminist lens.

Serve as a tour guide and representative of the Tulane Student Body for prospective students and parents. Lead weekly tours, speak on panels, and assist in special events for admitted students. Continued engagement and conversations with prospective students through email and phone call.

Served as a peer mentor for 15 first-year students. Conducted two rounds of one-on-one meetings to guide students in their transition to college. Presented weekly bulletins in class to provide students with resources for engaging with professors, seeking out extracurricular activities, and planning future course schedules. Meet weekly with the course faculty and facilitated out of class activities to foster inclusion within the class.

Supported a group of 20 first-year students through Freshman Orientation and the first months of college. Participated in three days of training and guided the group through all orientation activities. Facilitated ice-breaker and bonding activities to encourage students to meet new peers during their first weeks on campus.

Engaged in weekly leadership meetings with the executive board to brainstorm and plan events to promote community service on campus. CACTUS is responsible for the budget and facilitates all service projects on campus. Attended volunteer events including providing service to Grow on Farms, where participants learned about sustainable and urban farming.

Assisted servers at Mateo by clearing and resetting tables, running food, and using the restaurant ordering service to place orders and checkout guests. Created a warm environment as a Host, managed reservations, and organized the restaurant layout daily.

Managed a group of 20 players, age 7-14, in the Summer Camp program. Led drills, developed practice plans, and refereed scrimmages.

Provided friendly and effective customer service, trained new employees, and worked as a store manager responsible for closing. In charge of counting the profits and tips every night, prepping the store for the following morning, cleaning the frozen yogurt machines, and directing the other employees through their nightly responsibilities.

Volunteered for 15 hours/week for Joe Biden and John Hickenlooper’s 2020 Campaign. Mobilized, recruited, and trained 50 new volunteers, confirmed shifts, completed more than 2,000 outbound calls, and led more than 25 phone bank trainings.Worked as a lead on the campaign's high school phone bank. Trained students for 2 hours/week, created educational voting material, and organized phone banks for over 60 high schoolers.

Counselor in charge of 12 campers aged 5-7. Guided campers through daily farm chores, such as feeding the animals, planting seeds, and arts and crafts. Selected by the owner as a Volunteer Coordinator to direct weekly service events for high school students to clean the property and learn about sustainability at SunFlower Farm.
