Fueled by a passion for leveraging emerging technologies to close the equity gap in K-12 public education, I bring a unique perspective to my role as Assistant Director of Educational Technology. My journey began in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, fostering a strong foundation in leadership and problem-solving. Transitioning into education, I served as a teacher before diving into various technology roles.Currently, I bridge the technology and curriculum divide. As part of both the technology and curriculum departments, I lead efforts that not only integrate cutting-edge EdTech solutions but also ensure they address the specific needs of diverse learners, particularly marginalized communities and students with disabilities.My commitment extends beyond my public school district and into the broader educational community. For the past five years, I've served as a board member for the Arizona Technology in Education Association (AzTEA) and as a volunteer on multiple committees for the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN). Notably, during my tenure as the President of AzTEA we became Arizona's CoSN Chapter. Deeply committed to reforming our education system so it empowers every student, I seek collaboration and dialogue to advance the vision of equitable access to a quality education for all.
