-Preparation of legal reports and compliance checklists for submission to the Group Office-Review of on-going disputes and litigation affecting the companyLiaise with external legal counsel on litigation, trademark and brand issues affecting the company. -Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate mitigating strategies have been adopted.-Give legal opinions and interpret legal information for the company-Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures-Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with statutory legal requirements-Legal research-People management
-Interact with the different regulators in the telecommunications industry -Communications Authority of Kenya, Central Bank of Kenya and the Competition Authority of Kenya. -Engage and liaise with different stakeholders in the telecommunication industry, mobile money industry and private sector. -Resolution of customer complaints raised by the Regulators. -Notify or seek approvals for various products, tariffs and promotions run by the Company from the different Regulators. -File compliance returns to the different Regulators supervising the telecommunications industry as and when the need arises. -Prepare monthly reports for submission to the Group Office.
