• Performed graduate research at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in the Environmental Control and Life Support Unit. Improved the design of current test stand, wrote procedures for, and ran tests in the lab to quantify the amount of carbon dioxide different materials would adsorb for the purpose of a carbon dioxide removal system for future spacecraft applications. Then proceeded to analyze the data obtained from tests. • Became familiar with different instrumentation and eventually began troubleshooting and repairing some equipment when necessary and worked with different suppliers and vendors to order materials or get instrumentation fixed when it could not be done in house.
