Program Manager
Current• Founding manager of 150+ student youth orchestra, with multiple locations. • Responsible for MAYS branding and marketing through digital marketing and SEO optimization, print materials, public events, and community outreach. • Works closely with MAYS Artistic Directors and Board of Directors (through the Jonathan May Foundation) in development of foundational goals, branding, and messaging.• Responsible for copywriting and editing of all marketing materials, including concert programs, press releases, brochures, flyers, promotional materials, as well as social and digital media. • Directs all orchestra communications, including email campaigns, fundraising efforts, internal organization of students and events, coordinating concert and rehearsal venues, as well as with media and news organizations.• Builds professional relationships with local media organizations, community partners, musicians, and teachers.• Speaks publicly at orchestra events, concerts, and makes regular announcements to students, parents, and community members.• Organizes all aspects of events, concerts, programs, master classes, workshops, recitals, summer camps, and weekly rehearsals. • Oversees orchestra budget, including tuition payments, event budgets, concert ticketing, and grant/ student scholarship programs. • Created, designed, and maintains content of orchestra website (www.maysymphony.org).• Selects and oversees orchestra managers and all volunteers.• 2020-2021 Season: Created virtual chamber music program to adapt to COVD limitations.
