Planned, evaluated and recruited seniors to present a panel on new relationships for seniors on April 30,2009. Utilized senior volunteers, Seymour staff and college interns. Topics included expanding personal circle of friends, dating and new relationships, and family relationships regarding re marriage. This program, well attended, was profiled in the N and O in May 2009. In addition, a video tape was made and shown on Chapel Hill Channel 8 and at the Seymour Center in June and July.

Programs to assist Boomers and Seniors in expanding and improving their relationships with a goal of dating .Programs have been profiled in News and Observer, UNC Daily Tar Heel, and radio station WCHL. Program presented at Flyleaf Books, UNC School of Social Work, Seymour Center, Chapel Hill Public Library, Carolina Springs, Orange County Senior Center, Women's Power Network. Topics include online dating, to meeting new people, and intimate relations as we age.

Coordinated pre and post hospitalization services for Seniors ranging in age from 70 to 90. Conducted seminars on relationships and laughter, worked with volunteers on food preparation and serving holiday parties.Provided intensive individual and family counseling for frail elderly and their family members.Often spoke to senior groups about Carolina Springs being a viable living option and two residents moved in as a result of my efforts.

Annually, recruited, oriented, coached, and supervised over 30 parents of students attending 18 schools in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro system for six years. Generated an increase of 30% volunteer hours. Directed numerous individual special projects including annual customer, volunteer and board evaluations. Fully utilized over 100 volunteers daily, four times each year. Created and launched a program to qualify court mandated individuals to expand the existing staff. This six year program utilized 447 court mandated volunteers who worked over 11,000 hours for a cost benefit ratio of $70,000.Researched, published and updated a 30 page hard copy and power point Volunteer Manuel and yearly school volunteer schedule. Developed and implemented five large Volunteer Appreciation events. Received significant support from local Business community. Prepared press releases for media involving this event and four other annual events.Worked extensively with 20 community based organizations to assist them in their missions and mutually benefit their organizations.

Supervised eight social service staff, four students and over 20 volunteers in programs servicing 600 seniors' residents of NYCHA developments. Special focus on crisis intervention, supportive counseling, entitlements, protective services, bereavement, medical and psychiatric problems.Researched and published 10,000 copies of Pediatric HIV Resource guide that was distrabuted in the greater NYC and New Jersey area.

Founder of non profit organization dedicated to education and empowering parents and caregivers of HIV positive children. Obtained funds for over thirty parents and caregivers to attend 10 national and international HIV conferences that focused on Pediatric HIV.Published Just Kids Foundation Newsletter monthly for over seven years.Organized and presented conferences in the Bronx and Brooklyn that were attended by over 300 parents and caregivers of HIV positive children. Program reached over 1,000 parents nationwide.
