Cardiology Lab• Developed 20+ cMRI-based left ventricular shape models of wild type and diseased mice models varying in severity to characterize cardiomyopathy in Danon disease mice models using OsiriX• Studied hypertension and heart damage in genetically-manipulated mice models that provided novel insights about mechanisms of normal cardiovascular development and growth• Investigated the role of Talin protein isoforms in cardiomyocytes by quantifying levels of various proteins in cardiomyocytes through western blot analysis• Studied the effects of Talin protein on the structural integrity of costameres and membrane stability of cardiomyocytes and was published as a co-author in a peer-reviewed journal (PNAS)
