Emily Woolley has been a statistician for over 10 years. As a biostatistician at Axio, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cytel, Emily has served as the IDMC independent statistician on over 50 clinical trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas including oncology, hematology, hepatology, rheumatology, immunology, cardiology, and infectious diseases. Emily has supported over 200 IDMC meetings. In this role, Emily has implemented and advised team members on the implementation of adaptive designs for interim efficacy and futility analyses utilizing group sequential designs, conditional power, sample size re-estimation, dose selection, and Bayesian total product profile. Emily has also served as the lead biostatistician for several successful regulatory submissions in ophthalmology.As Senior Director, Biostatistics at Axio, Emily helps oversee the day-to-day operations of the IDMC business including project oversight, delivery, quality, and finances. Emily manages a team of direct and indirect reports who serve as Independent Statisticians to IDMCs. Emily enjoys mentoring team members in statistics and business management, building client relationships, continued process improvement and supporting Axio's vision for IDMCs of the future.
