Risk Engineering Consultant
Current- Conduct property, business interruption, and natural hazard technical risk assessments for insured customers and prospective business.- Complete design plan reviews of facility and fire protection system projects in accordance with NFPA, FM Global, and other industry-recognized standards. Areas of review include new building construction and facility renovations, equipment and utility system installations, fire protection systems (sprinkler and special suppression systems, fire pumps, fire and gas detection), and process modifications.- Handle account engineering management for customers in varied industries, coordinating all property servicing and providing day-to-day property loss control support.- Develop loss control and risk management advice to customers based on industry and national standards through a consultative approach. Collaborate with insurance brokers, risk managers, facilities staff, fire protection engineers, and local authorities having jurisdiction to implement solutions tailored to each site's unique operations and exposures.- Develop and execute risk improvement plans site and account-wide to mitigate property, business interruption, and fire risk exposures.- Mentor new engineers as part of Zurich’s Risk Engineering Training Program.
