Since joining Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt in 2011, I have been involved in many complex and award-winning schemes, playing an integral role in the company's growth and success. This year I was delighted to have been selected as a RIBAJ Rising Star and nominated as a UKCW Role Model.Plevna Crescent, a 72-unit residential scheme in Haringey, a project I led as Associate, is set within a 'Site for Interest & Nature Conservation' of challenging topography. The design, while sensitive to existing landscape (incorporating gabion walls and cedar shingle cladding features), also responds to neighbouring developments, creating a strong sense of place and community for future residents. The scheme, recently submitted for planning, received positive publicity in the architectural press.Other projects of note are Queensway in Southampton which has been shortlisted for Best Regeneration Project in the National Housing Awards and Basingstoke College of Technology Construction and Learning Centre.As part of the Senior Management Team, I have significant impact on business strategy alongside the directors. As Associate and Studio Leader of the newly opened London office, I have been heavily involved in recruiting and mentoring new team members, simultaneously introducing and implementing practice processes such as the mentorship scheme.I have consistently represented the practice at conferences and networking events as the practice's NLA NextGen representative and I am on the BCO Next-Gen Committee. Our ten year anniversary as a practice was capped with us being named BD 'Young Architect of the Year' for 2017. This title is awarded not just for a single project but for the general quality and depth of our portfolio. It is very much a team award and one that is celebrated by the whole practice, that now extends to in excess of 40 members of the team across our Oxford Street and Hampshire studios.

Since the opening of The University of Reading's School of Architecture (2016), I have part-taught the 'Industry and Practice Module', designing and delivering a series of teaching sessions. These included lectures, workshops, feasibility/construction site visits, practice tours/interviews with different studio roles and finally assessing the submissions. The focus is to expose students to the industry, bridge the gap between theory and practice, and prepare them for their professional careers. I have been invited to continue this collaboration with the University over the next academic year following positive tutor/staff feedback.

Having completed my masters degree at Cardiff University, my Part 2 year was spent working in Windsor, UK accross a variety of sectors and project stages. This included designing a new extension to the Royal College of Physicians in London and delivering a residential conversion scheme in Sunninghill for the Crown Estate.

Having completed my training at Cardiff University, my Part I year was spent working abroad in Milwaukee, USA, cultivating my sensitivity to international design. While working at the practice I assisted with a variety of education and residential projects where I was exposed to the challenges involved with working in a different climate and different building and planning zoning regulations.
