After graduating college, I wanted to become a teacher right away so I could begin learning how to best help students and work in the most important field there is: education. I joined Teach For America for just that opportunity and was excited to help out the neediest low income students make incredible academic and personal gains. To further my education and knowledge as a teacher, I received my M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Linguistically Diverse Education from CU Denver to inform my passion for working with English Language Learners and developing my Spanish language skills. In the upcoming years, I hope to become a master teacher and continue teaching and learning for as long as possible. I am also interested in developing curriculum for lower elementary students or becoming a literacy specialist or interventionist.
