Something Labs is a nonprofit distributed volunteer coalition who protects frontline medical workers by quickly innovating and bridging gaps between supply chains and medical systems. Since inception in March of 2020, Something Labs has designed, manufactured and distributed upwards of 60,000 pieces of PPE to 175 hospitals and health organizations in California. -Lead product, operation, and distribution efforts for Controlled Air Purifying Respirator (CAPR) replacement shields, delivering nearly 30,000 CAPR shields to 35 hospitals nationwide.-Employ data driven approach to target hospitals in underserved counties with high prevalence of COVID-19.-Collaborate with R&D, production, and distribution to iterate on product development and rapidly scale operations.

Defined vision, strategy, and roadmaps for five different products, fully facilitated three to launch. Utilized Agile development methodologies to successfully engage and lead cross-functional teams to collaboratively develop, launch, and iterate upon product features.-Designed and branded mobile application for a majority stakeholder to increase customer reach on a national level.-Enabled utility clients to meet energy efficiency program goals by utilizing utility data and behavioral science to motivate meaningful customer actions.-Facilitated Simple Energy’s merger with Tendril to Uplight by driving time of use product release to meet contractual dates with key utility client, unlocking $8.5M contract terms.-Increased revenue margin 20 points by recommending strategic partnership versus internal build of renewable energy software platform.

In July 2019, Simple Energy merged with Tendril to form Uplight, the new leader in delivering a modern customer energy experience, in order to accelerate the clean energy ecosystem.

Managed product roadmaps for fixed tilt ground mount and single axis tracker systems. -Increased tracker margin by 28 points from Q4 2017 to Q2 2018 by partnering with CTO to evaluate and optimize engineering and supply chain efforts.-Monetized existing engineering processes by launching service packages upsell, forecasted $7M annual revenue increase.-Set market-based product pricing and built pricing tools that enabled the sales team to instantly and accurately price projects.

Supported renewable energy, distributed energy resource (DER), and energy efficiency (EE) strategy and evaluation for utility and corporate clients.Project focus included:-DER strategy and assessment: managed evaluation of microgrid demonstration projects; developed models to quantify microgrid energy, cost, and emissions impacts; forecasted and reported on global microgrid adoption patterns-Utility EE program design: built energy models to estimate various EE program savings; informed best practices for program design and impact measurement-Utility strategy: proposed updates to governance structures to increase operational efficiency

Co-founder of SolFlo, a solar irrigation startup born out of the Design for Extreme Affordability course at the Stanford d.school. We designed and locally produced a solar irrigation pump for rural farmers in Myanmar. -Eliminated running costs and operating labor associated with diesel generators and treadle pumps, allowing farming families to repurpose wages for healthcare and education.-Negotiated discounted pricing with solar panel manufacturers for B-grade solar panels.-Fostered partnerships with distribution channels to implement last-mile delivery strategies.

-Encouraged ten island nations to invest in renewables and energy efficiency to reduce operating costs, increase grid resilience, and lower rate payer costs by illustrating economic impacts of transition to renewables.-Developed a systems thinking guide to collaborative problem solving used in training Electricity Innovation Lab moderators.

-Conducted research in molecular genetics for the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.-Used whole-exome sequencing and linkage analysis to identify the preliminary genetic characterization of stuttering.

Led efforts to attain Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition for Novant Health primary care facilities. PCMH is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care, improving patient outcomes while reducing healthcare costs.
