At Molecular Dimensions, I work in a small team to manufacture kits and reagents for protein crystallography, including custom orders and screens. Within this role I work to develop new crystallisation screens according to current research.

At Sandhills Court Care home, I worked as a Covid testing operative and receptionist. In these roles I completed lateral flow and PCR testing on residents, staff members, visitors, and professionals, as well as completing audits, maintaining PPE stock and good hygiene within the home. Throughout the developing pandemic, I redesigned the homes testing programme and areas to ensure efficiency and safety. In my role as a receptionist, I spoke with members of the public as well as medical professionals in person and over the phone effectively. Through my time at Sandhills Court I also helped in the kitchen, laundry and on units at short notice when staffing was low, furthering my ability to adapt quickly to new environments. In this role I received awards for displaying Bupa care values: Passionate, Caring, Open, Authentic, Accountable, Courageous and Extraordinary.

As an inclusivity representative, treasurer, and general content creator for the Self-Improvement Society, I ensured accessibility of all resources and events organised by this society, as well as tracking finances, creating organisational documents, and planning online events. In this role, I also created a week-long campaign to support the BLM movement, creating educational resources and organising a sponsored walk to fundraise for the charity Blueprint For All. Whilst on the committee, this society was awarded Society of the year 2021.

Working with a team of housekeepers, I ensured guest rooms were cleaned to a high standard, handled any complaints, and ensured all customers were satisfied with the service provided. Time management and attention to detail were very important, as well as an ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team to maintain the high standards of the Michelin-star restaurant. The role required good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and I completed relevant COSHH training

Here, I took orders, served food and drinks as well as maintaining the general restaurant, boardroom, and executive lounge areas. This further developed my skills of working within a team and required confidence communicating well with the public.
