•Reviews and analyzes complex medical information (i.e., diagnostic tests, office notes, operative reports, etc.) to determine service connection and disability entitlement.•Assures proper application of federal laws and regulations and other applicable instructions, and fully accountable for proper analysis, appropriate development, and final rating determinations.•Analyzes claims to determine if diseases and/or injuries were incurred or aggravated by military service for purposes of compensation, treatment, or hospitalization.•Determines service-connection, percentage of disability, permanent and total disability, and entitlement to compensation, pension, burial, dependency indemnity compensation, special monthly compensation and vocational training, medical and dental treatment, automobiles, or other conveyances, insurance, specially adapted housing, dependent education allowances, and other ancillary benefits.•Communicates and interacts with Veterans and their representatives/advocates to facilitate timely, proper decisions. •Works independently as the decision maker on claims to assess comprehension.•Exhibits excellent judgement, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis and discretion.

-Supports telephonic, written correspondence, live CHAT, and/or electronic contacts as the CSC's mission dictates.-Obtains In-depth knowledge of programs, laws, regulations, and policies, include communicating knowledge to an extremely diverse customer base.-Develops, examines, adjusts, reconsiders, recommends settlement of various types of claims, receives and processes requests for authorization of healthcare services, supplies and benefits.-Furnishes routine information concerning rights and benefits with regard to assigned health benefit programs administered by the OCCPC under laws administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs.-Informs Supervisor of circumstances which would preclude meeting due dates.-Assists in the testing of new programs, enhancements to existing processes and new initiatives impacting customer service, such as EDI, telephone systems, etc.-Works directly with Veterans, beneficiaries, providers and collection agencies in an effort to mitigate or resolve situations in which the Veteran or beneficiary has been placed in an adverse credit situation due to non-payment.In addition to standard day to day tasks listed above, I was also assigned to work on a project consisting of reaching out directly to providers and collections agencies as a result of a veteran calling in to report that he/she was in collections or being threatened with collections. This work & the calls made to reach out to providers or collection agencies was a follow up after the first attempt was made by the agent that initially spoke to them.

-Taught small groups of 6th-grade students on topics such as forestry, wildlife, and geology.-Managed a bunkhouse of approximately 30 girls with two other leaders.-Provided fun team-building exercises and game with students and other leaders.-Used correct disciplinary action with students on an as-needed basis.
