Supporting adults with learning disabilities in a creative community setting.

Working to support nursing staff and patients within the Day Program for CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service). I was responsible for the coordination, planning and delivery of a full week's timetable of creative groups and activities for the patients. This also included daily meal support for young people with eating disorders.

Supporting the nursing team and patients in the in-patient unit for CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service). Shift work including nights. Highly demanding on an emotional level, working with young people with challenging behaviour and (tier 4) mental health problems in an acute live-in setting.

Primarily learning to weave tapestries as part of this world-renowned tapestry studio, in a team of 5 weavers. Also provided workshops for primary-school-children with additional needs, contributed to the design of some tapestries and successfully applied for funding for an exchange program with the Australian Tapestry Workshop.
