• Responsible for total group, transient, and catering/banquet revenue and accountable to a market performance and meeting budget, forecast, and optimal business mix targets.• Development and solicitation of business from all markets to ensure the necessary advance bookings needed for a successful and profitable operation for the hotel.• Negotiations of corporate discounted rates based on volume, availability and other pre-determined factors.• Prepared, implemented and compiled data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, sales budget, forecasts and other reports as required.• Follows-up with appropriate staff to ensure meetings and events go as planned.• Ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends, economic factors, and other related information for development of new marketing strategies.• Actively participated in meetings with corporate and leisure clients, providing site tours and building rapport.

• Sales generation for corporate group and business travel for the city’s largest convention hotel, a 373-room property with 27,000 square feet of meeting space.• Secured significant hotel sales contracts, which resulted in producing top-line revenue and achievement of reaching and/or exceeding quarterly goals.• Dynamic contribution in daily revenue strategy meetings to ensure the proper mix of group/transient and catering business to maximize revenues, as well as identifying sources of incremental revenue throughout the hotel.• Built enduring customer relationships that allowed for an understanding of client’s unique needs and delivered return business.• Persistently monitored the pricing of the competitors, fully understanding the local market and demand generators.• Attended key hospitality trade shows and sales expos, community events, industry meetings, and other various networking opportunities.

• Established and attained group sales and revenue goals for the leisure & entertainment market (including group tour, music, sports, and social).• Applied knowledge of industry trends, competition and market demands to create and implement promotions and strategies to attract new business and stimulate repeat customers.• Management of all hotel room blocks once contracted (for all markets, including corporate, government, convention, and associations), averaging over 300+ group blocks annually. • Conducted weekly review of Group Rooms Committed (GRC) report to identify need dates and/or dates where the hotel has exceeded preferred mix of sales. • Monitored group pick up, cut-off dates, rate and room type availability to maximize hotel revenues and client/guest satisfaction.• Built strong relationships with customers and the community through frequent communication to establish long-term business growth.

• Ensured that the arrival, departure, and any other guest contact experiences were conducted in an efficient and friendly manner while modeling an exceptionally high standard of service in this 295-room property.• Delivered a high level of product knowledge of the hotel, including, but not limited to, directions, hours of outlet operation, hotel services, local community events and attractions.• Maintained relationships with representatives of the local business community.• Handled and communicated all guest compliments, comments, observations and challenges in a timely and professional manner.• Assisted management in the onboarding training for new employees. • Provided administrative support to Sales & Catering staff for meetings and events.
