As a Manager of Accounting for Enbridge’s renewable power segment, I am responsible for leading a team of 10+ individuals through an effective and efficient GL close and reporting process. This includes things like accounting for transactions and new asset acquisitions, tax equity/HLBV accounting, and project and capital assets accounting and reporting for our North American assets as well as accounting for our international assets under US GAAP where the majority of the reporting we receive from our partners is in local GAAPs.With over 15 years of experience with and in the energy industry, I have a strong background in financial accounting, auditing, and advisory services, having worked as a senior manager at EY before joining Enbridge. I have led and delivered multiple projects on complex accounting issues, such as revenue recognition, leases, impairment, and financial instruments, for public companies in various sectors. I have also supported the preparation and review of financial statements, disclosures, and regulatory filings, and advised clients on accounting policy changes and best practices. My mission is to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of financial information, and to enable informed and effective decision-making for the company and its stakeholders.
