Emily's tenure with Phillips & Jordan (P&J) began in 2014 through Green Group Holdings, an affiliate of P&J. By 2018, she ascended to the position of Senior Vice President of Strategic Communications, assuming a pivotal role in aligning P&J's strategic objectives with the PIH Strategic Plan. During her tenure, Emily undertook a comprehensive transformation of the Marcom division, adeptly managing critical aspects such as crisis communication protocols. She orchestrated a substantial overhaul of P&J's brand identity and successfully executed a comprehensive organizational brand revitalization initiative. In early 2021, Emily played a central role in facilitating the development of the corporate Strategic Plan and actively contributed to integration efforts, expansion endeavors, and the execution of impactful internal and external campaigns.Emily's leadership extended to the implementation of innovative leadership development strategies, yielding noteworthy outcomes, including the establishment of the Phillips Leadership Development Program. Her role as a trusted advisor to PIH executives remains instrumental in shaping long-term business strategies. Previously, she founded a strategic communications consulting firm called Frame+Function. She has extensive experience in full-scale marketing campaigns, film talent publicity, talent relations, crisis management, and public affairs. Her experience includes management of all types of creative teams and development of deliverables including brochures, print ads, websites, video production, product photography, event planning, media training, copywriting, full-scale marketing plans, advertising plans, media buying and placement, stakeholder outreach plans, branding, messaging and positioning, signage, presentation development, crisis communications, research and media relations. Additionally, she has managed the SXSW Film Red Carpets (15-year tenure with SXSW), including interfacing with all media, studios, and talent for the past nine years. Emily is a graduate of Leadership Austin’s 2008 – 2009 essential Class. She is committed to the learning, inspiration, and innovation, and in doing so she has been an integral part of the production team for TEDxSMU from 2009 to 2011 and the stage manager for TEDxAustin in 2012. Emily received a B.A. in Public Relations from Texas State University – San Marcos.
