Executive Director, Global Academic Programs
New York, New York, Us
As a chief consultant to the Provost/Senior VP of Academic Affairs and an integral participant in cross-functional teams including the Global Operations Working Group and co-chair the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force, I exercise global awareness to contribute thought leadership and training in the development of pathway, non-degree, and K-12 initiatives that facilitate the academic success of domestic and international students, their families, faculty, and staff. In administering these programs, I control the budgets, Human Resources, faculty affairs, and content development to optimize program execution and functionality. I also showcase NYIT as a trailblazer in global education through conferences such as Perspectives on Global Education that gathers leading affiliates from across the globe to address academic prospects for refugees. Below highlights the value I have brought to this role: • Won the 2016 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization and launched the Office of Global Academic Programs with lowered outlays of $50K for promotion, $100K for remuneration, stronger organizational development, and Human Resources management.• Raised global academic program involvement by 200% via leveraged resources and academic networks, digital tools, and targeted recruitment.• Strengthen existing partnerships and build new collaborations to increase New York Tech's impact on the progress of its people and campuses through priority projects like a campus climate survey and quick wins like all-gender restrooms, preferred name policy, and a transtion to Fall Holiday on the second Tuesday in October. • Visited 20+ nations including India, Mexico, Spain, China, France, Taiwan, Brazil, and South Korea to establish campus affiliates and grow programs that broaden international discourse, shared research, and NYIT’s global brand recognition.
