As sole Project and Program Manager in a 4-person nonprofit organization, I oversaw all of our park installations and improvements in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Department, as well as managed our in-house fundraising programs, Adopt-A-Park and Donate-A-Bench. Our projects ranged from smaller program accounts to multi million dollar capital projects. I wear several hats and assume other roles as needed. I helped to initiate the "Plastic-Free Parks" program in Griffith Park, I provided event planning for our annual fundraisers and I help to manage our nonprofit board of over 20 working professionals.

During my time with SWCA, I conducted solo, intensive-level field work and archival research on a potential historic residential district in Pismo Beach, CA. Additionally I drafted historic studies and DPR forms for HABS documentation.

I conducted residential and commercial property research for SurveyLA, the multi-phase citywide survey, as well as manage a master list of the survey area properties. I also assist in field work evaluation of these properties to be considered for protection under national, state and/or local preservation ordinances.In addition to SurveyLA, I worked on a survey of the Holmby-Westwood area as a potential HPOZ, as well as the Beverly Hills Citywide Survey performing these and additional tasks, such as community outreach and creating original field work materials.

My duties as a preservation planning intern included writing Historic Cultural Monument applications, drafting staff recommendation reports, creating community historic resources lists for SurveyLA (The Los Angeles Historic Resources Survey), conducting site visits and performing building permit research.

Producing website content, assisting with historic easement inspection and documentation, performing research and data collection.

Conducted research on current planning issues, wrote and edited news content for the website, edited web courses and content.

Produced content for the organization’s newsletter and blog, advocacy and outreach, rallying for support from city council members, attending organizational and city meetings.
