I’m an architect with a passion for creating socially and environmentally sustainable design rooted in context and community to create a rich environment for its inhabitants. Believing a community’s stories and knowledge are its greatest assets, I strive to instill these values into design, influencing elements such as building form, materiality and environmental graphics. I have focused on projects with unique programs and community engagement efforts ranging from university classroom buildings to high-rise mixed-use towers. I love that each program has its own nuances and priorities and am a self-proclaimed “spreadsheet nerd”. My love for the built environment began in childhood listening to my uncles tell stories from the construction sites, and developed into a passion for complex systems, space planning, and designing inviting and welcoming places for all.I champion equity in design and am an active member of Bora’s Equity Team, which unpacks the numerous challenges and issues present within the industry and project work to guide Bora into a better, more just future. I am personally invested in Bora’s internal efforts to make sure every voice is invited and heard at the table, believing the best designs come from a diversity of perspectives and ideas.
