Serve as Administration’s representative to external bodies and initiatives as needed, including the Leduc Regional Housing Foundation’s Municipal Conversations, the University of Alberta’s Housing for Health guidelines, and the Alberta Bilingual Municipalities Association.

Designed and carried out survey, interview and observation research for a study of bicycle and pedestrian safety in Westmount, QC; analyzed data and presented study findings. Analyzed and reported on data from Westmount "Safe Walk" walkability audit.

Ottawa, Canada Area

As part of a team project for academic credit, produced a redevelopment plan for an underused federal government site in central Ottawa, ON. Conducted a visioning workshop with local stakeholders; incorporated community feedback and additional research into the design; presented the plan to local political representatives and business leaders.

Performed systematic review and case study research for WHO report on best practices for scaling up health worker education in developing areas. Organized consultation meeting for 20-member international working group.

In a team with two other Canadian students, planned and led recreational and literacy activities at residential centre for street youth in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

With co-editor, hired and managed 30-member editorial and business staff. Supervised production and content of each of 41 editions; chaired twice-weekly editorial board meetings. Represented Journal to university, other media outlets and board of directors. Built on three prior years of reporting/editing experience at Journal.
