Dr. Emily Levine has been teaching elementary-aged students for nearly two decades, has been published in the Early Childhood Education Journal, and has served as an adjunct professor at Pennsylvania State University, Ohio University, Point Park University, and Saint Vincent College. Dr. Levine has conducted research on cyberbullying, and she frequently shares her expertise at local, state, and national conferences. In addition to researching and presenting on cyberbullying, Dr. Levine’s research interests include movement in the classroom, culturally responsive teaching, and mindfulness practices. She has secured several grants her school, as well as her individual classroom. Some of the grants awarded have been for recess equipment, which was severely lacking at her elementary school, as well as flexible seating, which encourages movement throughout the day. In the past, Dr. Levine has also served as a student teaching mentor to students from Pennsylvania State University, Slippery Rock University, and Seton Hill University. Dr. Levine graduated from the Schreyer Honors College at Pennsylvania State University, where she majored in Education and earned a minor in Spanish. She then earned a Master’s Degree from Gannon University in Curriculum and Instruction. While there, she also earned her Principal Certification. Dr. Levine earned her Doctorate in Education in Curriculum and Instruction at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
