Previous and returning clients include companies of all sizes: from busy solopreneurs to large organizations such as Unifor, The Globe and Mail, and Bank of Montreal.Emily is also the founder of Laughing Cat Productions, a film company that creates bold, entertaining, inclusive, and forward-thinking women-led media. Upcoming projects include "The Sweetest Goodbye", a short film supported by Canada Council for the Arts, Panavision, and William F. White.In 2020, Emily was selected as one of just 100 women from across Canada for the inaugural year of Banff Spark, a development accelerator for women in media. As a stage & screen actor, Emily excels at playing flawed, complex, and intriging characters. Selected favourite roles include: the Lady in Red (Park Enforcer), Michelle (Clutch), Dahlia Joss (Zed.TO; Performance Innovation Award - Toronto Fringe 2012), the "sensual and exciting" Lilith (Erotic Tales From the Old Testament), Frieda Ball (Death in a Black Suit - world premiere 2014), and Lora in Caged (Lioness Award - Island Fringe 2018).As a voiceover artist, Emily provides professional, confident, knowledgeable, and approachable reads. Recent character work includes playing the female lead, Roxie Gibson, in Y2K Redux.Emily has appeared as an on-camera expert in several documentaries, including A Big Set of Lungs (examining the horror genre) and MeAfterToo (discussing the MeToo movement). She also founded the Queer and Trans Actors casting group on Facebook - a place where casting directors can find authentic casting for stories with LGBT+ characters.Outside of her work, Emily is an activist and animal enthusiast. She is an avid watchdog against police misconduct and gender-based violence, frequently speaks out for LGBTQ rights and equal representation in media, and fosters rescue cats.
