After discovery the issues with supply chain and large scale agriculture production for herbs, the tea company pivoted to a subscription model named BUILD YOUR OWN APOTHECARY. Sending monthly medicinals and focusing on one herb at a time to subscribers, the company was able to pivot and change the conversation to include how herbs are grown and around the farmers who grew them. Emily worked with small farmers in Hawaii, California, and Colorado to begin to rebuild the tea company with this direct supply sourcing and processing , and soon found that the issue was much bigger than tea and moved full-time to work on the tech platform of PEEL.
