I graduated summa cum laude from Bellarmine University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and finance. During my time in undergrad, I held a variety of roles: I was a global research & data analytics intern with an energy commodity trading company, a finance intern at an environmental advocacy nonprofit, and a federal rental assistance intake intern with Louisville Metro Government. During this time I also completed my undergraduate Honors thesis titled “The Pressure to ‘Do More with Less’: Exploring Donor Misconceptions about Nonprofit Financial Health and Performance”. This was a 56-page econometric analysis that I presented at a regional conference.I developed a love for empowering community work during my time interning in Louisville Metro Government’s Eviction Diversion Program. Providing federal rental assistance to individuals facing evictions for non-payment during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic led me to realize that I was passionate about aiding underserved communities through capital and resources.I am now a Project Manager with the New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) & Structured Finance team at Steadfast City Economic & Community Partners. I help uplift underserved communities through intentional and community-focused investment by working to secure NMTC allocation for Qualified Active Low Income Community Businesses (QALICBs).
