Mott Children'S Hospital - Ann Arbor, Michigan

Advocate for financial literacy and pediatric education for patients and families. Collaborates with team members to critically evaluate hospital policy, administrative procedures, and the framework of patient centered care to drive the direction of the patient experience within Michigan Medicine. Work includes supporting intra and inter-facility organizations like Paws4Patients and Ways to Give! with St. Jude.

The Environmental Law and Sustainability Clinic, directed by Professor Oday Salim, helps to research, build, and bring cases in support of environmental interests. The clinic works on a wide variety of legal topics that include: water quality and quantity, environmental justice, forest and wildlife management, climate change, energy regulation, administrative law, and international transboundary pollution and shared resource management. Recent project highlights include a federal appellate brief about oil pipelines and endangered species, an amicus brief in a climate change lawsuit, a report on the legality of income-based water rates, and comments on an environmental justice policy to allow for document translation. Works with Assistant Professor Salim Oday to gather budget figures and decision-making documents in order to summarize, index, and analyze this information in order to provide critical perspective for the clinic. Compiles information on constitutional, legislative, administrative, and judicial environmental justice mechanisms relating to access and equity of persons with disabilities on federal and state lands within a research paper to be used in an environmental justice seminar at the University of Michigan Law School.

Works with Dr. Amy Lovecraft to complete research with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Arctic and Northern Studies Program through the International Institute at the University of Michigan. Researches climate modeling in consideration of climate change, the role and impact of systems of governance in maintaining domestic and international security, and how these changes are felt within various Arctic populations. Investigates predicted climate consequences of warming onto military strategy and economic competition in the Arctic in with the Center for Arctic Policy Studies at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

Collaborated directly with co-workers and co-partners to encourage industry engagement and coordinate general planning of the nonprofit's annual summit. Worked to plan 2 in-person summits hosting 300 guests and 50 speakers, and navigated a smooth transition to a virtual summit in light of Covid-19 precautions in 2020.
