Geology postgraduate from the University of Portsmouth (graduated in 2019). Studied Geological and Environmental Hazards (MSc) (2019) and Geology (BSc) (2018) with optional modules in Igneous Geochronology and Petrogenesis, and Oceans, Climates and Environments. I have held the role of Secretary of the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) Student Chapter at Portsmouth (2018-2019), and Secretary at the University of Portsmouth Christian Union (2017-2018). My postgraduate thesis, completed in Summer 2019, was titled: A volcanic hazard assessment of El Hierro. It involved using predictive spatial modelling to simulate the extent of a possible future volcanic eruption of El Hierro, Canary Islands. This was followed by a discussion of the impact and risk to the island using GIS-based analytical tools, and mitigation suggestions. My undergraduate dissertation topic was the general and structural geology of Torrin, Isle of Skye. It involved a month of fieldwork and data collection (Jun-Jul, 2017), followed by a report and analysis of said data. My undergraduate degree has involved extensive fieldwork, and geoscientific professional skills such as petrology, mineral resources, quantitative methods, remote sensing and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). I am familiar with software such as ArcGIS, ArcMap, ERDAS Imagine, ERMapper, GCDKit and QGIS, and graphical software such as CorelDraw. I have a particular interest in geological hazards and hazard monitoring, as well as igneous geology and petrogenesis.
