• Internship learning various food and beverage positions at the historic Lake Yellowstone Hotel Dining Room.• Host: Responsible for answering any guest questions.• Responsible for delegating groups to accessible tables if needed, and for bringing highchairs or booster seats if needed.• Responsible for creating, canceling, and changing reservations on the reservation systems.• Responsible for the waitlist for walk-ins and creating a system of seating carefully as to ensure no double seating of servers, and the preferred table is chosen for the group.• Responsible for training new employees at the host stand.• Server’s Assistant: Responsible for greeting guests and filling water glasses.• Responsible for any guest requests that are asked of, and to assist your server in any way necessary to ensure an amazing guest experience.• Responsible for the clearing and resetting of tables, including tablecloths.• Responsible for the cleaning and restocking of bus stands to ensure a clean workspace.• Responsible for training new employees.• Food runner: Responsible for the smooth delivery of large trays of food to the correct table number and seat number, without auctioning off any food.• Responsible for fulfilling guest requests and for bringing out more beverages if needed.• Responsible for the clearing of earlier plates and preparing the table for the next course of the meal.
