Left unexpectedly due to being recruited to the District Office.

Without prior training, I worked on my initiative to employ support strategies to assist students of varying abilities to carry out daily activities, including school work and other activities such as eating, moving throughout the school, or assisting with assignments. I also aided the teacher as requested.

This internship spanned two years and two Webb offices, with interruptions in service during the 2009 & 2010 General Assembly Sessions. Standard intern duties applied, however, in addition I assisted Senator Webb's office through two cycles of Service Academy Nominations. I worked with the Service Academy Coordinator and assisted with setting up the logistics, databasing and sorting over 500 applications each cycle, and handling management of the selection process. I also assisted by proofreading letters of support for grant requests, and putting together presentations to assist the State Director.
