- As a Publishing Assistant I worked alongside Liverpool University Press (LUP) to publish a poetry collection, compiled by a professional poet, for the Pavilion Poetry Series.- I have experience copy-editing and typesetting poetry manuscripts using Adobe InDesign. I liaised directly with the poet, who was based overseas, to discuss editing, proofing and marketing queries. I then created an in-depth marketing plan for the poetry collection.- I attended weekly sessions to acquire further knowledge regarding the editorial, production, marketing and legal procedures involved in publishing. Coaching and mentoring was provided by freelance professionals during the placement programme. On completion of the placement, I created and presented a final presentation and report, which showcased how I reached my Key Performance Indicators (KPI).- Nocturne was shortlisted for The Laurel Prize 2023, a prestigious literary award.
