I facilitate Active Hope Workshops for youth and adults. This is a participatory workshop in the pioneering, open-source work of Joanna Macy which draws from deep ecology, systems theory, and ancient spiritual traditions. Through experiential practices that include dialogue, imagination, movement, and reflection, participants will connect with deep sources of strength and inspiration to take part in the transition to a more just and sustainable future.

I served as a consultant at this public, online charter school for homeschooling families. My role was to help families create standards-based learning plans and provide evidence of meeting outcomes.

Village Home is a school for homeschoolers and provides an alternative to conventional schooling, where learners are empowered to create an engaging and fully customized education with the guidance of their family.-Designed and facilitated highly participatory, interdisciplinary courses for multi-age groups of upper elementary and middle school students.-Covered traditional academic subjects (Social Studies, STEM, Language Arts, Art) through the lenses of social-emotional learning, social justice, and environmental sustainability.-Developed curriculum incorporating anti-bias education (racism, sexism, LGBTQIA rights, ableism), climate change education, Native American History, and other topics not typically addressed in mainstream schools.-Ensured lessons were grounded in positive, age-appropriate examples of young people effecting change, providing opportunities for students to make a difference while having fun.

The Wayfinding Academy is a community college with the goal of developing more engaged citizens and better communities. The handcrafted educational experience includes a core curriculum with courses in communications, social change, teamwork, and leadership, and a tailored portfolio-based program.As a Guide at Wayfinding, I met with students 1:1 and as a small group weekly in an exciting role that blended academic advising, life coaching, and facilitation. As Core Faculty, I developed and taught the last class of students' Wayfinding career: The Good Life. This course examined the enduring question “What is the Good Life?” with the goal of helping them to envision their own ideal future vs. what society "tells us" we should want and be like. The Good Life is a deeply personal and global exploration of ideas of happiness and success. It includes looking at the history of The American Dream and the damage that the mindset has caused to spiritual fulfillment, exacerbated social injustice, and environmental degradation. What does it mean to live a good life in the age of Climate Change and vast social inequity? How can we create a vision of the future that is personally ideal and that also contributes positively to the wellbeing of both human and nonhuman communities?

Co-design and facilitate curriculum for the K-12 Teacher Trainings in Permaculture Education with a focus on global social movements, privilege, and justice.Co-design and facilitate field trip experiences for K-12 students on an urban farm in SE Portland with a focus on permaculture, cooking, social justice, and nature connection.

Root Down Rise Up is an experiential program that fosters self-discovery, nature connection, and community leadership in young women. We seek to create embodied experiences of connection to self, community, and nature that empower individuals to take action in their lives and communities in ways that promote an environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually fulfilling world.​We support young women to root down to their authentic emotional and ecological selves, and to do so in safe and supportive spaces with peers, mentors, and the natural world. Through deepening their connection to self and others, we aim to empower young women to rise up and take part in the movement toward a life-sustaining society.As one of two co-founders and team members, I run and facilitate all aspects of the program.

The Woolman Semester is a transformative education program where youth come from all over the country for four months to study peace, justice, and sustainability--in addition to farming and living simply in an intentional community in northern California. Global Issues *Independently designed entire curricula based on theories of Global Citizenship, Human Rights, Youth Empowerment for Active Citizenship, Economic Globalization, and Alternative Economics using experiential, interactive, and student-centered teaching pedagogy. Peace Studies*Independently designed entire curricula guiding students to explore the multiple meanings of peace and violence, oppression, privilege, power, allyship, and nonviolence. *Community and Social Media Outreach **Planned and led weeklong experiential learning trips, locally and internationally for each core class (Peace Studies & Global Issues) per semester. **Served as advisor and parent liaison **Organized peace rallies and other presentations with students in town**Participated in community chores, shared work, cooking, farming**Participated in Quaker-style meetings, including consensus-decision making and nonviolent communication
