The Woolman Semester is a transformative education program where youth come from all over the country for four months to study peace, justice, and sustainability--in addition to farming and living simply in an intentional community in northern California. Global Issues *Independently designed entire curricula based on theories of Global Citizenship, Human Rights, Youth Empowerment for Active Citizenship, Economic Globalization, and Alternative Economics using experiential, interactive, and student-centered teaching pedagogy. Peace Studies*Independently designed entire curricula guiding students to explore the multiple meanings of peace and violence, oppression, privilege, power, allyship, and nonviolence. *Community and Social Media Outreach **Planned and led weeklong experiential learning trips, locally and internationally for each core class (Peace Studies & Global Issues) per semester. **Served as advisor and parent liaison **Organized peace rallies and other presentations with students in town**Participated in community chores, shared work, cooking, farming**Participated in Quaker-style meetings, including consensus-decision making and nonviolent communication
