Armor Systems Design, Ballistic Protection Center◦ Working collaboratively with a team of mechanical design engineers and managing all the analysis projects of armor systems of ALTAY, Leopard 2A4, M60T tanks, and a modular armored turret system as the only FEA responsible in the center◦ Numerical modeling of shaped charges, EFPs, KE penetrators, explosions, reactive/non-reactive and cage armor systems for ballistic protection assessment via LS-DYNA◦ Structural integrity evaluation under various loading types, including vibrations, thermal and mechanical shocks via Ansys Mechanical◦ Coordination of material model characterization tests, responsible for the material model library of the center, parameter optimization for improved numerical accuracy

Research & Development◦ Numerical modeling of terminal ballistic scenarios, blast and explosions, EFPs, roadside fragmentation charges, ceramic powder compaction and sintering processes via LS-DYNA◦ Project Coordinator of an industry-academia collaboration project: ”Ballistic Characterization of Materials via Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar”, building and operating the high strain rate testing device while serving as a bridge between the company and METU◦ Conducting material verification studies w/ test data and creating a material database◦ Validation and verification of material models via ballistic testing using high-speed camera
