Indonesia

As a senior trainer in the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (Team), I was responsible to organize OpenStreetMap (OSM), QGIS, and InaSAFE (QGIS plugin that creates impact scenario of a disaster) trainings for various partners (government, NGOs, and local communities) in six provinces in Indonesia. I was also responsible to develop a curriculum for Scenario Development for Contingency Planning (SD4CP) and building OSM/QGIS/InaSAFE user community in Indonesia.

Malawi

A short-term field mapping project in Malawi. As a Junior Coordinator, I was supporting my supervisor to socialize and train various community (government agencies, NGOs, and universities) on open data and community mapping. I was also responsible to lead the geospatial data collection in the field, especially in the two most flood prone districts of Malawi (Chikhwawa and Nsanje) using OpenStreetMap (OSM), then train the communities on how to host the data on the Malawi Open Spatial Data Portal (MASDAP) and utilize the data to perform contingency planning using QGIS and InaSAFE software.

A short-term project to assist Pusdalops BPBD DKI Jakarta (Jakarta Province Disaster Management Agency) to provide maps and spatial analysis to support Jakarta flood response. A short-term project that I did during my undergraduate thesis year to support Jakarta Mapping with BNPB (National Disaster Management Agency), BPBD DKI Jakarta (Jakarta Province Disaster Management Agency), GFDRR-World Bank, University of Indonesia, UNOCHA, and Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) for flood risk reduction.In this role, I was responsible for:1. Supporting technical problem for OpenStreetMap during data collection workshop in 6 districts in Jakarta.2. Supporting technical problem for validating and fixing OpenStreetMap data in Jakarta.3. Creating final map with custom tiles.

A short-term pilot project during semester break. In this role I was supporting the community mapping pilot with the Australia-Indonesia Facility for Disaster Reduction (AIFDR) to collect exposure data in rural and urban area in Indonesia for InaSAFE. This pilot is also the beginning of OpenStreetMap (OSM) and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) community in Indonesia. In this role, I was responsible to assist my supervisors to deliver OpenStreetMap workshops in various communities:1. ACCESS-AusAID Bima, Dompu, Mataram, Waingapu, Bantaeng, and Kupang2. PNPM Generasi-World Bank in Waingapu and Mataram3. Indonesian universities in Depok (Universitas Indonesia), Bandung (Institut Teknologi Bandung), Padang (Universitas Andalas), Yogyakarta (Universitas Gadjah Mada), and Surabaya (Institut Teknolog Sepuluh Nopember)
