Introduction to Lesson Planning for the One Shot.

• Lead librarian for online learning and technology support and development, including the development of workshops and consultations with librarians to create online learning tools. Developed a set of best practices for librarians to follow when creating videos, and other tools such as hover maps, infographics, and games. With two other librarians, managed LibGuides, collaboratively developed a set of best practices, and migrated the system to LibGuides 2.0.• Liaison to the Global Education Office, including international students, study abroad, and a living-learning community. Developed a comprehensive list of library activities to introduce international students to the library, engage them with research, and teach them information literacy skills. Increased the number of information literacy sessions by over 315% in FY13.• Assessed student learning through rubric-based formative assessments for undergraduate classes.• Designed information literacy sessions and provided research support in person and online.• Liaison to the Honors College and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, including research programs and institutes.• Developed and participated in interdepartmental and university outreach events.

• Independently and collaboratively designed basic and advanced research workshops, online video tutorials, research consultations, and course-integrated classes in physical and virtual classrooms. Staffed, supervised and trained students working in the Interlibrary Loan Department and at the Circulation Desk.Staffed the circulation desk, assisted patrons, opened and closed the library, conducted various reorganization projects in multiple departments.

Organized and conducted the logistical planning, advertisement, registration, and administration of the annual World History Institute, a program for teachers of World History.Created and designed the WHI website, and enhanced the departmental website.Assumed administrative assistant responsibilities on a temporary basis to fill in for the full-time administrative assistant; general office duties including digitizing documents and assisting professors.

Processed a collection of documents from Louis A. Parson, former Professor at Gettysburg College. Processed and digitized collections, created metadata, conducted research in the college archives.

Staffed the Reference Desk and shifts on Ask-Here-PA, an online chat reference services.Worked on the Read Green project, and ongoing program on sustainability. Assisted in expanding the Reference print and electronic collections.Improved the library website, including a reevaluation of the Subject Guides, proposing and creating in a new layout for the Political Science Subject Guide, and creating a guide for Islamic Studies.Planned events for National Library Week and a study break event for students during final exams.

Updated the office website, edited publications, and assisted in budgeting and credit management. Planned events and conducted campus ghost tours to visitors.

Accessioned and cataloged objects; digitized library and National Park Service documents for integration into the collection. Rocky River Reservation and Big Creek Reservation. Searched for fossils/fish scales/bones, and assisted in the recovery of a tetrapod in Big Creek Reservation.Lab work: Created tools for education and sale in museum store; experimented mixing chemicals to create such products; cleaned fish bones, prepared casts of fossils to be delivered to other museums.Organized and cleaned specimens and conducted research in the library and department collections.
