Consulted as Big Data Architect on project moving Auto Loan data from on-premise to the cloud. Cloud architecture was AWS with datalake in S3 and consumption mart in Snowflake. ELT was done within Snowflake via in-house metadata driven data movement tool.Responsibilities included data analysis, data model for raw and consumption layer in Snowflake, and documenting ELT rules for data loads.Reporting/BI layer was Tableau against Snowflake.Also did performance tuning and SQL tuning (including views to simplify SQL) in Snowflake environment.

Lead a four person team through the design, development and implementation of a rules based engine to apply data driven business rules against medical and pharmacy claims. The output of these rules was then aggregated and a second pass set of rules applied to diagnose diseases for the plan's members. Reporting analytics of diseases and claims paid by disease can be used to help determine the cost benefits of early detection and/or 100% covered well-care as a prevention method thereby decreasing future claims. In addition, the existing Data Warehouse environment was surgically re-engineered to eliminate significant performance challenges. Lastly, Tableau was introduced as the reporting and analytic tool. Semantic layer and sample reports were developed off the legacy DW structures as well as the newly create rules and disease diagnosis facts.
