I work in collaboration with the Heads of school and the Operations Manager. Providing Financial planning, control and management accounting duties and support the Heads in the day to day running of the financial management and control of financial issues within the schools. Provide advice to the Head of school in the management of the school financial position at a strategic and operational level within the framework for the financial management and control determined by the Trust.Support the schools with applying for grants, to ensure value for money in conjunction with the Trust HQ, Head and the Operations Manager in generating income. Responsible for preparing, presenting and reviewing the schools’ monthly management accounts. Analysing and reporting on the financial impact of operational decisions and maintaining the effectiveness of schools internal control, in conjunction with the Operations Manager. Support the Procurement processes, reviews suppliers quote and ensure value for money on contract awards. Act as an approver for BACs payments in in conjunction with the Head or other authorised signatories and ensuring compliance with the delegated authorities within the Academy Trust Handbook and Department of Education (DFE) and Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
