Following in my Husband's steps as he retires from 24-years of Active Duty in the US Army, I too am seeking a change. Looking to start a new career in the Houston area, preferably in the healthcare field, or anywhere else that would use the skills I acquired during 14 years in the healthcare setting.

Caring for children within their own homes on a scheduled, or flexible basis. The ages of the children cared for range between 2 months and 13 years old and have a variety of special needs, such as ADHD, Chronic Illness, short-term childhood illnesses, home schooling, English as a second language, cultural differences, newly separated households, and newborn infant. Primarily my aim was to provide a safe environment in which they could be nurtured and cared-for. In addition I assisted them to learn about their World, and their place in it. Through play and demonstration, they were taught life skills and behaviors appropriate to their age and family values.

Lead Teacher in the Young Baby Program (6-weeks to 18-months). Actively developed the program from its infancy. Maintained an environment in which infants and toddlers could thrive, changing and adapting the room lay-out and daily schedule to reflect their changing abilities. Implemented a new App to chart day-to-day achievements for parents to view. Ensured multiple lines of communication were available to the parents.

With almost 6 years of experience in Oncology, Healthcare at Home (HaH) allowed me to branch into the field of community-based healthcare. HaH is a private company providing home-based (and small clinic) treatments for clients with a range of problems; The funding for which comes from a wide range of providers including the National Health Service (NHS), Private Insurers, individual self-funding and Pharmaceutical companies. While I worked with HaH, I had the opportunity of being part of a team which worked successfully to secure a new contract in another area of the country. After a 10 month sabatical (May 2011 - March 2012), I happily returned to HaH. During this second period, I participated in trialing and implementing a new Electronic Medical Record system, which enabled patient data to be entered at their home and delivered to their Primary Care Provider in a much more time efficient manner. Most of all, working for HaH gave me the experiences of working from home and office environments (whichever was most suitable for the task at hand).

Provided excellent quality healthcare in a challenging and rapidly changing Acute Medical Oncology & Stem Cell Transplant 32-bed unit. Co-ordination of staff and patients on a day-to-day basis. Chemotherapy administration, blood & blood product infusions, full physical examinations performed as per hospital policy.
