Processing prescriptions for patients. Tasks include helping patients drop-off or pick-up their prescriptions, production of the prescriptions, accurately packaging pills, working with team members to insure timely prescriptions for patients, and communicating with doctor’s offices and insurance companies.

Responsible for 15 patients on average during 12 hour shifts. Measured and recorded vital signs (manual blood pressures and pulse as necessary), reported abnormal status to the nurse, assisted with preparation for any procedures, ambulated patients, assisted patients with activities of daily living, accompanied psychiatric patients as necessary, administered oxygen/assisted the respiratory team, AHA CPR/chest compressions during codes, preserved eye tissue for organ harvest, and electronically documented of patient charts.

Promoted wellness plan. Served as nutrition counselor and educator. Coordinated events including health challenges, weekly walks, competitions, and nutrition education lunch seminars.

Collected anthropometric data, transcribed and coded interviews, recruited participants, prepared materials for lessons, attended and assisted at lessons, and enforced proper cooking technique for the iCook project.

Focused on communication and customer service. As a "brand ambassador," I provided customers with my knowledge of Banana Republic products. Duties included helping customers choose their purchases, organizing clothing displays, and restocking the sales floor.

Assisted dietitian during patient counseling. Tasks included updating patient medical charts, calculating dietary logs, and updating the East TN Newborn Screening Database with current births and results of retesting.
