Having left a career of 25 years in 2023 I think it’s fair to say that I’ve been on a bit of a journey of self-discovery.Although it was the right time for me to make the move; stepping outside of a world which had been part of my makeup for such a long time, was perhaps tougher than I anticipated.In this 25 years i had spent most of this time managing premium accounts and had just made the role my own; the skills I had acquired along the way were vast and transferable but suddenly without all the familiarities; I just felt a bit lost.The last 8 months have thrown different things my way and although I’ve learnt lots in this time and have been grateful for the opportunities, I now feel like I have found a role which has given me direction and put the fire back in my belly.Construction has always been a sector that I’ve been interested in and with the landscape in Suffolk changing at pace; I think it’s an exciting time to join a company which helps support that infrastructure and help build the foundations for our future.Having a dad who is an Architect meant that I spent most of my weekends out on various sites holding a tape measure and a clip board. I spent many hours watching him draw on his board and loved seeing that drawing come to life.I’ve known Nigel at Construction Training Services for over 25 years and to have the opportunity to join his team and help the business grow is truly exciting and one I am very grateful forThis is my new chapter and it’s going to be the best one yet.
