I have had the pleasure of working closely with Emma for over a year, and it has been nothing short of incredible to watch her develop! Emma came in as an Intern, but it was quiet apparent that she wanted--and was capable of, shouldering a much larger load of responsibility than was expected. Through an unwavering work ethic, personal dedication to her colleagues and the organization, I watched as Emma elevated our Internship program and heightened the quality of new Interns through two semesters. Emma is a naturally curious individual, and if there is anything going on, you can be sure that Emma wants to learn more about it. This is true both for new recruitment practices, new EU employment regulations, HR data compliance, or something fourth. Emma is a true specialist-generalist, and is able to adapt to different tasks, and she is able to learn quickly and deeply about any topic she is tasked with. Emma is not only an incredible professional asset, but also a social asset. When the organization--and HR, faced huge uncertainty, it was thrust upon Emma to not only be a mentor, but also be the closest manager to our HR-Interns. A burden which Emma took upon herself without hesitating, because that's just who Emma is! Through her huge empathic personality, Emma made sure that not only the Interns, but the rest of our team were doing okay, despite the uncertainties. Through the last six months of our time together at Kamstrup, Emma and I served as each others closest colleagues and sparring partners. We served as sparring partners on our different tasks ranging from supporting implementation of new HR-systems, to how to handle sensitive matters such as employee development dialogues. It was a pleasure for me to be able to get this close to Emma, as she has a very acute understanding of business needs, organizational success, and how to elevate HR. If I do have to highlight one area of improvement, it is Emma's extreme competitiveness when it comes to any sport, game, or competition. It is my highest recommendation, that you don't ever try and compete with Emma--things WILL get ugly! ;) Jokes aside, I hope that I will once again get the chance to work with Emma, because she makes everyone around her better, while continuously improving herself as well.
