As the event coordinator at the School of the Environment, I was responsible for managing all School of the Environment events.Responsibilities included:- Coordinating, organizing and executing all School of the Environment events.- Creating and maintaining calendar of events for the fall and winter semesters.- Attending and facilitating both small-scale events and multi-day symposiums ranging from: academic seminars, exhibitor fairs, workshops, orientation’s, open houses and more.- Collaborating with various units within the University of Toronto, guest speakers and environmental professionals to ensure event success.- Facilitating online, hybrid and in-person events, including the use of A/V equipment, Microsoft Office, and online platforms such as Zoom, Pheedloop and Hopin.

As a research assistant with the Palaikastro 2022 Excavation Project on Crete, Greece, I worked on the intersection between the ancient environment and people on the Bronze Age site of Palaikastro. Responsibilities included:- Facilitating the use of differential GPS, assisting in underwater excavations and creating proper soil samples through the use of floatation for analysis.- Arranging and archiving photographic documentation from the project.- Planning and devising social media posts related to the project and the Aegean Material Culture Lab.

As the junior event coordinator, I helped to organize and execute the 16th annual Spring Into Action for youth mental health. In support of Health Out Loud, this 2k/5k fun run/walk saw over 200 participants across the GTA, and raised nearly 23k for youth mental health initiatives. Responsibilities include:• Overseeing the registration process of over 200 registrants for the event. • Contacting and securing high-profile sponsors and speakers for the event. • Coordinating the roles and responsibilities of a team of 20+ volunteers. • Executing the day of event plan logistics, including handling registration processes, liaison between marketplace and food vendors, connecting with high-profile guests and coordinating the movement of a large crowd of guests whilst accommodating for accessibility needs.
