I currently work with individuals who are experiencing mental health distress, life concerns, stress-management difficulties, emotion dysregulation, and symptom management. My experience includes children of all ages and young adults. Additionally, I have experience with trauma, interpersonal concerns, neurodivergency, and life concerns. As a counselor, I find it is important to create a safe space for all individuals in order to allow them to become their best selves - I approach the counseling space from an interpersonal, person-centered approach while simultaneously incorporating both acceptance and commitment along with cognitive-behavioral reframing.

I work with callers experiencing distress, crisis, emotional turmoil, and conflict. Each call varies based off of the content of the call, but the primary goal of each call is to de-escalate the caller and/or implement immediate crisis intervention (i.e. emergency dispatch or mobile crisis teams)if necessary. I extend empathy and understanding to every caller, practicing active listening throughout the call. I assess the caller for imminent risk of suicide, create safety plans for callers who are at risk of suicide, and log information from calls for each caller. I also provide access to resources and referrals for clients seeking shelter, mental health care, or financial/legal/transportation assistance.
