I am a person who values creativity, expression, and the embrace of other cultures and ideals. I am deeply enthralled in the culinary world and can perceive its presence in everything human. That is why my major in Anthropology and Sociology is perfect for me, as I can study the cultures and answer some of the "whys" of humanity through the gastronomic of cultures, agriculture, and eating habits of the people whom I would be looking at. As a culinary person, I have worked in kitchens since I was in high school, experimenting with flavor combinations, sustainable ways to source and make dishes, and ways to embrace so many cultures in one dish is so exciting to me. Over the years I have perfected bread recipes and other baking or cooking dishes that bring me to a feeling, and that feeling is something that food can only bring. I want to embrace that feeling in myself and I feel that I can do that through my anthropological studies of food and cultures.
