As a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges and a current Masters candidate at Tel Aviv University, I have found that throughout my academic journey, I have gained in-depth knowledge of marine and aquatic ecosystems, conservation strategies, and the pressing environmental challenges affecting our coasts and oceans. My coursework has instilled in me a profound understanding of marine and coastal biodiversity, oceanography, and the interconnectedness of all living organisms within these habitats.What I believe truly sets me apart is my dedication to putting theory into practice. As an avid scuba divers, conservationist, and naturalist, I have had the privilege of organizing beach cleanups as well as researching and promoting conservation strategies. However, I have also witnessed firsthand the distressing effects of pollution, overconsumption and exploitation, and habitat destruction on various ecosystems. These experiences have fueled my determination to contribute meaningfully to conservation and restoration efforts.
