First Descents provides life-changing outdoor adventures for young adults (ages 18-39) impacted by cancer and other serious health conditions. Beginning in 2020, the organization has expanded its services to support healthcare workers and first responders on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.As First Descents' Development Officer, I connect corporations, foundations, and individual donors to the initiatives they are passionate about. My responsibilities include traditional grant writing, activating corporate sponsorships, and meaningfully engaging individuals and family offices in their philanthropic giving. Most importantly, I am storyteller of First Descents' mission and a voice for the thousands of courageous young adults who have embraced the healing power of adventure amid serious illness.

LEAP Therapeutic Wilderness Programs creates empowering experiences for those facing adversity and trauma by providing wilderness programs.As LEAP's Development Coordinator, I oversaw daily non-profit operations, maintained donor relationships, and coordinated program logistics with six different non-profit partners.

LEAP Therapeutic Wilderness Programs creates empowering experiences for those facing adversity and trauma by providing wilderness programs.As a LEAP Program Instructor, I facilitated adventure-based programs serving individuals who have experienced trauma or adversity. My responsibilities included planning program logistics, and supporting curriculum delivery. Seasonal operations included the successful delivery of six weeklong programs, partnering with the Oregon Burn Center, Higher Ground Sun Valley, The Dougy Center, New Avenues for Youth, Friends of the Children, and Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Assisted University of Utah researchers on a longitudinal study of high school adolescents diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes. I participated in recruitment, data entry, and literature research.

Portland, Oregon

Interned as a Research Assistant with the APGSA organization, Problem Gambling Solutions, on the first national survey for state funded Problem Gambling resources. I organized data collection and assisted in editing and writing research reports. APGSA researchers presented the data findings in July at the 2013 National Conference on Problem Gambling, where I was acknowledged as a contributing author.
