I am a Senior Research Officer at WEHI within the Centre for Dynamic Imaging.

I managed and directed independent research projects as well as participated in collaborative studies using confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and single cell RNA sequencing.

I led communication between postdocs, the institute’s managing director and administration. I managed the annual budget for the institute's postdoctoral association. Additionally, I organised the institute’s monthly careers seminar series.

I was responsible for maintaining working relationships between multiple stakeholders including theMax Planck General Administration, Scientific Council, Scientific Staff Representatives and thepostdoctoral researchers of each of the 86 Max Planck research institutes. I was also involved incoordinating the activities of the PostdocNet’s nine working groups.

I advocated for the interests of postdoctoral researchers and presented updates on PostdocNet activities at section meetings with scientific staff representatives from the 30 institutes of the biology and medicine section.

I secured competitive, independent funding for my research with a value of $135,000 including a personal research budget of $30,000.
