To be the potable and recycled water subject matter expert responsible for leading the optimization of system operations to meet regulatory requirements, defined levels of customer service, protect public health and the environment and to minimise risk.• Be the centre of operational engineering expertise for potable and recycled water supply networks;• Lead the team to ensure the efficient and effective day to day operation of the potable and recycled water networks to meet defined customer service levels, environmental performance and minimise risk • Ensure adherence to YVW’s Water Quality Risk Management and HACCP Plans• Drive reviews and improvements in network operational practices and processes to achieve operational excellence for the teams functions;• Provide specialist engineering operational advice into strategies and functional designs for growth zone development and the rehabilitation of existing assets and their integration into the operating networks;• Mentor the development of technical, administrative and engineering staff in the operation of the potable and recycled water networks;• Take the management responsibility during the initial stages of any water quality, water supply and/or other business related incidents during business hours and when performing the role of after hours Duty Officer or as Incident Controller as required;• Be YVW's primary coordination point with Melbourne Water and other retailers to ensure compliance to the operational responsibilities of the Bulk Water Supply Agreement and to ensure effective and co-operative delivery of interface operations for joint planned and unplanned activities.

To improve the level and efficiency of asset management and the operational services provided to Yarra Valley Water’ customers. • Ensure adherence to YVW’s Water Quality Risk Management and HACCP Plans• Manage the resolution of system water quality problems;• Manage the resolution of system hydraulic issues and problems;• Managing minor asset upgrades and asset reconfiguration projects;• Managing water supply asset outages;• Managing planned power outages; and• Providing support during water quality and supply incidents
